The deeper in you go, the better the chance you have getting face to face with an ocelot or jaguar. Better yet, get up close and personal with a visit to the only jaguar reserve in the world. If you don't mind getting wet, there are a number of cave systems that you can float underground rivers through that were used by the ancient Maya for performing sacrificial rituals to honor their Gods.
